Gamma-Ray Integrated Detectors (GRID)
References
The GRID is a student-driven space-borne project with the goal to detect gamma-ray transients in the energy range of 10 keV to 2 MeV. GRID is composed of a constellation of CubeSats (with an all-sky coverage) deployed in low earth orbit.
The scientific motivation(s) of GRID are:
- Detection of gamma-rays associated with GW events
- Network based GRB monitor (general purpose analyses)
- Search/identification of Magnetars
- TGFs
- Training students how to develop, lead and organize within collaboration
Below is a list of CubeSats launched as part of the GRID constellation.
